Parampujya Shri Shivnath Swami Math Guirim

A small village with green fields around. With new culture flourishing around, there lies a Holy place for ages. Believers of this place has got their wishes fulfilled.

It is believed that the Saint of this place has worked for the improvement of the village and has sorted out many of the unresolved issues of this villagers and others who believed & visited this place.

This Holy place is situated in the heart of Guirim village near the Gramdevi Sateri temple.

Who was he?

Parampujya Shri Swami Shivnath Swami alias Shivram R. Parsekar was believed to be follower of Shri Shankaraswami. This Saint used to preech in the Holy Math at Bhatwadi Korgao Pernem. He was believed to be relieving people from their troubles in their life.

Shri Shivnath Swami was born in a farmer family. He was born to Mr Ravloo Parsekar. They were from Chonsai Parse and was born in the year 1914.

Shri Shivram became devotee of Shri Shankaraswami when he felt the inner instinct of Holy Spirit in him, in an incident of auction of Holy coconut, which is usually done in most of the Hindu temple rituals. Since then he became devotee of Shri Shankaraswami and started preeching people of Guirim village in this Math at Guirim.

Many people had been freed from their marital, work related issues and have lead a successful life under his guidance.

Following are some of his miracles which one should believe.

The miraculous achievements:

=> One incident to note during the Portuguese times. A big police officer during the Portuguese rule was a believer of Shri Swami. He used to visit Swami regularly. Once he fell very ill. He had a high fever which was not going even after doctors medication. He sent his person to call Swami to his place. Swami used to visit people without any hesitation. His moral was to help people.

When Swami came to his place, the officer told his situation. Swami looked at him for a while and gave him Holy Ash and asked him to munch in betel leaf. And he sat near the patient for a while chanting mantras. To holy mercy, within an hour the patient sweated like hell and his fever was gone. He became alright within next 3 days.

=> There was no religious barrier to believe in Swami. There was an incident when a church priest (a father) was very ill. For a month or so, he couldn't gulp any food. Whatever he used to try eating, used to vomit out. One of the believers of Swami saw the father's condition and brought him near Swami. The Swami understood that it was not because of the illness but he was poisoned in his food with black magic. The Swami relieved him for it by his mantras and gave father his home cooked food. Surprisingly this food the father could digest and  became alright after few days.

=> Similarly around 60 years back a couple in Guirim village who were married for 20-25 years was not able to conceive. All measures, medications and religious rituals failed. This Swami noted their problem and mentioned them that there is a possibility of birth if they follow his ways but there might be loss of the mother which was her fate.

The couple followed the preeching and luckily they got a healthy baby boy. A few days later, after the naming ceremony, as predicted, there were some indications of prediction becoming true. But the couple did not get worried as they have been preparing themselves about it. The mother fell ill. The mother accepted it as it was in her fate and asked the sister in law to take care of the son. The mother finally died in this illness.

=> Another miraculous incident to note is that, every child born in a family used to die. The family has gone through many religious practices & even expensive medication, but all in vein. Then someone got them to this Swami. The Swami asked them to do some rituals at home and gave Holy Ash to eat daily in a pinch. Within few days the woman could conceive and gave birth to healthy child.

Likewise there are 'n' number of miracles which have changed lives of people in and around the village and Goa as a whole, who believed in him even till today.

For experience one must visit this small but sacred, spiritual place.
